Theatre District wins Purple Apple

The Theatre District Mascot Olympics 2007 have been awarded a much acclaimed Purple Apple Merit in the most recent BCSC award ceremony at Wembley Stadium on 1st May.

These awards recognise marketing and event management excellence throughout the retail and leisure industry, and the Theatre District was up against the top shopping centres around the UK in their category - Best Single Event.

The Mascot Olympics will be repeated again this year as part of Big Moo 2 and is set to return on Saturday 12th July.  We already have over 30 mascots signed up to compete from around the country including many favourites from last year - Reggie the Red Devil from Crawley Town FC, Captain Blade from Sheffield United and Jolly Green Giant from Yeovill FC.  We of course are welcoming back all our local friends including Mooey and Donny from MK Dons and Gully Mouse from Gullivers Land to try and defend his Olympic title.  Put the date in your diary for more chaos and laughter with these larger than life characters on the rampage!!!!
